Exploring The Local Area of Ayr

Positioned in the attractive town of Ayr, our elderly care home is in a wonderful position for our residents. Just a short walk from Ayr beach that boasts sea views across to the Isle of Arran, residents can enjoy being close to the seaside year round. The local community of Ayr features an array of shops, restaurants, pubs, monuments and tourist attractions. The Old Racecourse Pavilion, LA Bowl Ayr, Corsehill Park and Gardens, and Ayr Town Centre are all just a short drive from one another.

Residents can either use the public transport nearby or make use of our fantastic chauffeur service. Templeton House has a Mercedes on-site, ready to take residents to their required destination. This is included within the overall care home fee therefore we recommend our residents to use this service as much as they’d like.

Residential Care

We are proud to provide a fulfilling lifestyle for residents at our residential home. Residential care is suitable for those who are no longer able to maintain their household or who need assistance with daily tasks; this can be anything from helping with a resident’s personal care, mobility or medication management. Residents can spend each day doing the things they love most, making use of the many amenities available to them whilst our team takes care of everything else.

Residents can enjoy a life of luxury, socialising with those who share similar interests, and enjoying fantastic home cooked meals created by our in-house chef and kitchen team. Every resident will have a customised care plan created by a team of experts. This will ensure everyone is receiving the best care at all times, and care plans can be altered if care needs change at any time.

Nursing Care

Nursing care is a type of care provided to those who require a more advanced 24/7 care. This includes providing care to those with physical disabilities, high dependency needs and long-term health conditions, as well as palliative care needs. The compassionate staff at Templeton House tries their very best to make residents as comfortable and content as possible throughout their stay.

Our nursing home has a team of qualified nurses and modern nursing equipment which enables us to provide exceptional nursing care. Every resident is paired with a key nurse who will look after their health and well-being needs and support them no matter the time of day or night.

Dementia Care

We offer specialist dementia care at our residential care home in Ayr. Our staff are trained to the highest degree to help support those living with dementia at all stages. We understand that some dementia residents may only need minor assistance while others may need considerably more, so it’s important everyone gets their own personalised care plan.

Our team gets to know everything there is about a resident in order to fully understand their needs and the lives they have lived, that way they can provide effective care that improves overall well-being. We offer a range of alternative therapies and activities designed to help relieve the symptoms associated with the condition.

Respite Care

Respite care is a type of short-term care available to those in need of a short break. This could be due to having an illness or operation that requires time out from daily routines for a while. Those who are caring full-time for a loved one deserve a break and are encouraged to utilise respite care.

At Templeton House Care Home, every person will receive the care they need to help get them back on their feet. Respite care starts from a few weeks up to a few months. Just like with our other types of care, a care plan will be created for our temporary residents. Many use respite care to trial a care home before deciding whether it’s the right fit for them.
