What type of care do you offer?
At Templeton House we provide residential, respite, dementia and twenty-four hour nursing care for our residents.

Our experienced and dedicated team enable us to nurse those with physical disabilities, those who require end of life care, those with high dependency needs, and those who become infirm.  We also offer respite care and can offer those who wish a pamper day: clients can enjoy treatments in our Hair and Beauty Salon and Spa Area, and join us for a delicious home-cooked lunch, afternoon tea or evening meal.

How will you help me to settle in?
Our experienced team are passionate about welcoming and integrating each resident to their new home, and we will take as much time as you need to settle in to your new home. Residents are welcome to bring personal items, such as photographs, ornaments, etc. to make your room truly your own. From the moment you arrive at Templeton House our staff will do everything possible to ensure that your stay will be welcoming and comfortable.  We will endeavour to make your admission relaxed and informal.
Your family and friends are welcome and may remain with you while you settle into your new surroundings.


How often are visits permitted?
There are no set visiting times and friends and family are welcome to visit as often as they want and we encourage them to become fully involved in life at Templeton House. However, for security reasons it is helpful to know if any visitors are expected after 9pm. Family and friends can visit whenever they want, as much as they want but we do ask that if possible that family and friends can avoid meal times as it’s an ideal time for residents to socialise.

Can I bring my pet?
Regrettably we are unable to accommodate pets.

How will I pass the time at Templeton House?
Various social events, entertainment and activities are organised to ensure that there is always something interesting and stimulating going on. Our Activities Coordinators will support and encourage you with any hobby and shopping trips, and individual therapeutic treatments can be arranged to suit your needs.

We have strong links with the local community and offer weekly services, sing-alongs and coffee mornings at the local church. We will also work alongside other Care Homes in the local area to arrange meet ups and outings for all residents to socialise.

Birthdays are celebrated with a party and you will also receive a complimentary birthday cake. Private functions can be arranged.

What is the food like?
Delicious and nutritious meals are prepared onsite by our in-house cook and catering staff using local suppliers for meat, fruit and vegetables. Our breakfast, lunch and supper are served in the main dining room; however snacks and drinks are available throughout the day. Room service is also available on request
